Hove Plinth, Brighton

The development of a brand-new sculpture plinth featuring on Hove’s promenade. The plinth features different sculptures, rotating every 12-18 months.

Pro bono has included the construction of the reinforced concrete core, all engineering advice, project management and most recently a 10-year free maintenance contract for the plinth.

The Hove Plinth project was undertaken as part of RLF’s Corporate Social Responsibility on behalf of the Hove Civic Society, a local charity in hove.

Hove Plinth creates a brand new cultural attraction on the historic Hove seafront. Hove Plinth brings exciting new public art to the city and showcase a changing programme of the best in modern day sculpture. The works of art will stay on the plinth for up to 18 months, after which some will be moved to permanent sites in the city.
