The grant of €10 million has been allocated towards the Grant Scheme for Sustainable Tourism Projects by Enterprises financed through the European Regional Development Fund which forms part of the EU’s Structural Funds 2007 – 2013 for Malta.
The scheme, which is being managed by the EU Affairs Unit within the Ministry of Tourism, directs funds towards the economic development of the tourism sector. Sustainable tourism projects submitted should strengthen Malta’s competitive advantage in tourism; increase the use of ICT for tourism; increase good environmental practices by tourism enterprises as well as increase innovation in tourism.
RLF Malta has been appointed as the General Surveyors for the Control and Monitoring of the Activities by Beneficiaries of the Grant Scheme for Sustainable Tourism Projects by Enterprises.
The remaining phase will be completed by the end of 2014.
