The project involves the alteration and refurbishment of the existing building, and the construction of a new build extension to provide thirty luxury apartments and landscaping works.
The project includes a series of sustainability measures that meet the Local Authority’s requirements for sustainable design and construction. These include:
– Sustainable Drainage System to reduce post-development water run-off.
– A comprehensive ecological strategy to deliver a net gain in biodiversity.
– Water conservation measures and the provision of communal external rainwater harvesting tank for irrigation
– Ground-source heat pumps providing efficient space and water heating to each dwelling.
The new 70,000 sq. ft development has been designed with due consideration to the heritage of the existing building, the sensitivities of Hampstead Conservation Area and the surrounding listed buildings.
